School's nearly out, and the oldest problem in home learning is waiting: no term-time routine, no habit. Both of this month's additions are small, daily, and the kind of thing children open because they want to.
Years 3–6 — crack today's vault
Every day there's one secret five-digit code (the same vault for every player) and six guesses to crack it. After each guess, every dial says how close its digit is, so each one becomes a little number-line puzzle: one off, or way off? Crack the code and the door swings open with a shower of coins.
There's a streak to protect, a share grid that never gives the code away, and Year 3–4 players start with the first dial already unlocked. Premium families can also replay the last 60 vaults and practise on easier three- and four-dial safes.

Years 3–6 — a spelling ladder to climb (premium)
Brainwave's practice mode used to be a shuffle. It's now a ladder, Easy to Hardest, matched to your child's year group, with a mastery ring that moves the moment they get a word right. Words they find tricky come back first, and a word only counts as mastered once it's spelled correctly on two separate days: real spelling, not a lucky guess.
At the top sits Challenge: around 200 genuinely hard words beyond the curriculum, unlocked by mastering ten of the Hardest tier. Progress follows your child between devices, and a new card on your parent dashboard shows the words practised each week.
