UK GDPR Compliant
Processed under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Privacy is built into how the platform works — not added as an afterthought once lawyers got involved.
EU Data Residency
All data is stored in the EU. Your pupils' information never leaves European data protection jurisdiction. We chose our infrastructure provider for this reason specifically.
ICO Children's Code Compliant
No advertising. No commercial profiling. No tracking outside of what is needed to teach. We comply with the ICO Age Appropriate Design Code from day one — not when compelled to.
Minimal Data Collection
Pupils need a first name and an avatar. No surname. No date of birth. No home address. No email address required. We collect only what helps you teach — nothing more.
Never Sold. Never Shared.
Pupil data generates zero revenue for us beyond your subscription. It is never sold to third parties, never shared with advertisers, never used for any purpose beyond running the platform for your school. We cannot sell what we do not collect.
Role-Based Access
Teachers see only their own class. Headteachers see only their school. Pupils see only their own profile. Access is enforced server-side — not just in the interface.
Right to Deletion
Request deletion of any account or all school data at any time. We process deletion requests promptly, with written confirmation. If you cancel, export your data as CSV first — then all school data is deleted within 30 days.
DPA Available on Request
A Data Processing Agreement is available for any school that requires one for their records. Contact us and we will provide it promptly — no legal wrangling, no delay.
Encrypted in Transit & at Rest
All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Session tokens expire automatically to prevent stale access.
The question every DPO should ask is not “is this platform secure?”
